Krytox Special Application Lubricants
Krytox TS4 sealant is designed for use on various metal and plastic surfaces and can be used in lieu of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tape. In contrast to PTFE tape, which needs to be removed before reapplication, Krytox TS4 sealant can be reapplied over existing thread sealant.
Like all Krytox products, Krytox TS4 is:
- Nonreactive
- Nontoxic
- Nonflammable
- Non-corrosive
- Compatible with most seal, O-ring, and valve polymers
Krytox TS4 is effective for a number of reasons. It clings to threads and will not shred or tear on assembly or disassembly. It cannot plug or restrict critical piping, valves, or instruments, which is often a problem with tape solids.
Additionally, Krytox TS4 is cost-effective since only a small amount of sealant is needed per application. It is fast, safe, and easy to apply, even while wearing protective gloves. And it has an operating temperature range of -54 to 149 ºC (-65 to 300 ºF).
