XYC 200-0 A/B 1KG Water Miscible Coating Bonded Coating Wiper Coating for Elastomer Components
Product Overview
XYC 200-0 A/B 1KG is a water miscible two-component bonded coating system developed for windshield wipers and other elastomer components. It is designed to provide improved friction characteristics while maintaining good resistance to abrasion and chemicals.
Performance Benefits
The coating helps reduce the coefficient of friction on windshield wiper elastomer materials. Compared with conventional graphite dispersions, it provides a durable coating matrix with good abrasion and chemical resistance. The coating also offers high flexibility for different application requirements.
Application
This wiper coating is primarily designed for windshield wiper rubber and can also be applied to other elastomer components such as O-rings. Both online spraying during extrusion and offline spraying are possible. The recommended tribological layer thickness is approximately 5 to 10 μm.
Two Component System
The product consists of components A and B. Component A should be thoroughly stirred before component B is added. The standard mixing ratio is A:B = 100:3, while a ratio between 100:1 and 100:3 may be used when increased flexibility is required. After component B is added, mixing should begin immediately.
Processing
After mixing, the components should be stirred for approximately 5 to 10 minutes and filtered before use. Deionised water can be used when viscosity adjustment is required. The maximum processing time of the mixture is approximately 8 hours at 23 °C. The coating should not be processed below 10 °C.
Technical Information
The standard mixture has an operating temperature upper limit of approximately 100 °C and a lower service temperature limit of approximately -40 °C. The coating is black, with a density of approximately 1.01 g/cm³ at 20 °C. The recommended tribological film thickness of approximately 7 μm provides a yield of about 14 m²/l.
Drying and Storage
At approximately 23 °C, the standard mixture requires around 24 hours for hardening. At approximately 100 °C, it can become dry to the touch in about 5 minutes. The minimum shelf life is approximately 12 months when stored unopened in a dry, frost-free environment.
