XYC G 8 OY K Sintered Bearings Lubricant

XYC G 8 OY K is a specialized lubricant solution for sintered bearings, particularly porous sintered metal sliding bearings. The product works as a bearing lubricant and an oil reservoir, providing an additional lubricant supply for sintered bearings during operation.

The sintered bearings lubricant system is designed to extend the lifetime of sintered metal sliding bearings. By providing a secondary lubricant reservoir, XYC G 8 OY K helps maintain the lubricant supply to the bearing during operation. This bearing lubricant and oil reservoir concept is particularly useful for applications where reliable and extended lubrication of sintered bearings is required.

Bearing Lubricant and Oil Reservoir System

XYC G 8 OY K is applied to the external surface of porous sintered bearings. Once applied, the oil reservoir works together with the porous bearing structure. The capillary effect allows lubricant to continuously move into the pores of the sintered bearings, supplying fresh lubricant to the friction points.

This continuous supply makes XYC G 8 OY K both a practical bearing lubricant and an effective oil reservoir for secondary relubrication. The controlled lubricant release can considerably improve the lubricant supply to friction points and extend the running time of sintered bearings.

Ready to Use Bearing Lubricant

The XYC G 8 OY K bearing lubricant is supplied ready to use. The oil reservoir can be applied to the outside surface of sintered bearings using conventional fully automatic metering systems.

No stirring or addition of fresh oil is required before application. This makes the bearing lubricant suitable for automated production processes where consistent application of an oil reservoir is required. Pumpability should be confirmed according to the individual system configuration and application conditions.

Synthetic Hydrocarbon Oil Based Lubricant

XYC G 8 OY K uses synthetic hydrocarbon oil as the base oil and silicate as the binder. The product has a yellow colour and homogeneous short-fibred texture.

For sintered bearings, the base oil has a kinematic viscosity of approximately 55 mm²/s at 40°C and approximately 8.5 mm²/s at 100°C. The density is approximately 0.90 g/cm³ at 20°C. These specifications define the characteristics of this bearing lubricant and oil reservoir system.

Wide Temperature Range

The specified service temperature range of XYC G 8 OY K is approximately -50°C to 150°C. This temperature range allows the bearing lubricant to be considered for sintered bearings used across a wide range of operating conditions, subject to application-specific evaluation.

The oil reservoir concept provides an additional lubricant source for the bearing, while the synthetic hydrocarbon oil formulation provides the specified base oil characteristics for the application.

Industrial Applications

XYC G 8 OY K can be used for sintered bearings in precision engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering and household engineering. In these applications, the bearing lubricant can provide secondary lubrication while the oil reservoir supplies lubricant continuously to the porous bearing structure.

For precision engineering, the sintered bearings lubricant system can be used where additional lubricant supply is required. For automotive and electrical engineering applications, the bearing lubricant and oil reservoir can support extended running of suitable porous sintered metal sliding bearings.
