XYC RM 47-102 1KG Silicone Grease for Automotive Plastic Parts and Elastomer Seals

XYC RM 47-102 silicone grease is a specialty lubricant based on silicone oil and special lithium soap. Developed for compatible plastic components and elastomer applications, this automotive silicone grease supports smooth movement and long-term lubrication across a wide service temperature range of -50°C to +180°C.

As a plastic compatible grease, XYC RM 47-102 is suitable for plastic/plastic, elastomer/plastic and plastic/metal contact surfaces. It offers good wetting of functional surfaces and is designed to help reduce friction-related creaking and squeaking in mechanical components. Compatibility testing is recommended before large-scale use because different plastics and elastomers may have different material compositions.

Thislow fogging grease is suitable for selected automotive interior applications where low emissions and reduced fogging are important. Typical uses include air conditioning ventilation valves, gear shift gates, linkages and compatible elastomer seals, including certain EPDM types.

The white silicone grease has a density of approximately 0.96 g/cm³ at 20°C and worked penetration of 265–295 × 0.1 mm. Its shear viscosity at 25°C is 2,000–8,000 mPa·s, with oil separation of no more than 3% by weight after 30 hours at 150°C and a drop point of at least 220°C.

For installation, the lubricant can be applied using a spatula, brush or grease gun. Cleaning the friction surfaces before application can help improve adhesion. Material compatibility should be verified before series production.
